I used to but not this year. The kids have informed me they ate too old to go trick or treating.

Kind of but not really. I have to work at the church that night for Treatsville as my character in the childrens program but we don't allow our children to celebrate halloween so not sure how things will go over in our house this year. My hubby did let our daughter go with me to the church last year to play the games etc but this year he will have to take the kids and I'm not sure he will.

I am looking forward to it also. I love handing out treats. My kids have such a good time. My daughter and her friends love to take my son out because it gives them an excuse to get candy too.
I am also looking forward to it because that is when the patch closes officially!!! THey are having a party that starts at 7. I thought about going after trick or treating ends but am worried that work would be envolved.

Christmas. Beautiful music, even though the world is crazy-nuts before the 25th then everything STOPS! The day dawns and if you are lucky enough to have a nice blanket of snow there's a beautiful hush and calm that reigns. My ideal Christmas would be this. . .Midnight Mass with Caroling to Celebrate the Son, snow starts Falling softly, thickly quietly during the service; home to bed; dawn breaks with a beautiful bright blue sky and the hush is palpable. The kids shrieking outside is muffled, dinner is cooking and I can smell the turkey and my Mom and Dad are here. There's a fire in the fireplace and the day is perfect.

My home..maybe 13 now.

When you were growing up did you go away for Thanksgiving ie: a grandparents house, aunt etc Or did you stay home?

We always went to my grandmothers farm. Those are some of the very best memories of my childhood.

we always eat from ruby red glass dishes and have for over 40 years. I am lucky enough to have them in my possession now.

if you had the chance to work on thanksgiving day at triple time pay would you?

I do it every year at only double time pay. Not so much by choice though.
