My guess nanny is the laid off fireman would be made to get there law enforcement certification from Hutchison if they want a pay check. It sounds like the Police Chief and City Administrator is dismantling the Fire Department one Fireman at a time. I wasn’t a big fan of the previous council and administrator, I thought this new council and management was much smarter than this, the winners here are going to be the Attorneys the biggest losers will be the tax payers very sad. The money that’s going to be spent on attorneys is just crazy.

Uhm, doubtful it's city and police management. Neither of those have been around for long and I honestly can't remember the last time police turnover wasn't high.

Try again.

Try what again, I don't no of any other police department with such high turn over rate, Management problem is what I heard from a source within the PD.

Samie,

Help us out here just a little. How does laying off one fireman in the middle of an economic disaster for many, constitute dismantling the fire department.
As far as city leaders. The last Police Chief and City Administrator left much to be desired. The last council wasn't bad. The council before that one should have been prosecuted. But none of that really touch's on your dismantling comment. Didn't the police lose a position ? Are they dismantling the police department as well ? I feel bad for anyone losing their job. I have no issues with James ( the younger ) and I'm glad to hear he has something else to go on to.
You have yet to answer or give a good reason that there should be more than the required number of men on a truck. If the Chief says it takes 4 men, why would there be more than that ? Or is he trying to dismantle the department too ?
And on top of this, the first thing you do is talk law suits and attorneys. One fireman has been layed off. The city tried to find other options as best I can tell but the fire department didn't want to give on anything. If the fire department was the only one being asked to make the sacrifice it would be one thing but that isn't the case is it ?

That's kind of a blanket statement. In that case, I don't know of any either, because I don't know anything about that subject.

That'd be like me saying "Boy, the turnover rate at the Shell gas station is pathetic. I don't know of any other Shell station with such pathetic turnover."

I'm repeating myself, but again, do you have any facts, figures, or logically progressive thinking to come to this conclusion?

On another note, but regarding a similarly empty comment, on what grounds would there be a lawsuit?
