Mr Broman, I will ask the same question of you as I did Mrs Eickoff, why do you wish to be back on the council after being off for two years ? What do you hope to accomplish through your service ? _________________ An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

A question that I have for Mr Broman is whether or not he would support the video taping of council meetings. Why or why not ? Whether Mr Broman is still of the opinion that Edwardsville should have railroad crossings that are adapted to let trains go through without blowing their horns ? Does Mr Broman support the consolidation of Edwarsville, Bonner and KCK fire departments ? How would Mr Broman suggest the council entice more business to locate in Edwardsville ? Are tax incentives beneficial or detrimental to the city ? _________________ An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

| A question for John Broman. Why did you lie to every voter in the city when you printed that State Rep Margaret Long supported you? I think you should be a man about it and mail out a whole other set of campaign materials stating that indeed she does not support you and that you were a very very bad boy in printing such a thing. _________________ All of my possessions for but a moment of time.

While I would like to give Mr Broman every opportunity to set the record straight it would seem that he doesn't want to do that. Could it be that this is the reason why he won't come on here and take the questions because he knows he can't give an honest answer and still get elected. This reminds me of the attempt to make everyone believe that the past police chief was certified when in fact he never was. Same tactics as before, if you say it enough maybe someone will believe it or maybe no one will check your source. Let it be known, we will check. This is the age of communication. A phone call, an email, it's very easy to ask the real person if indeed they are supporting someone and why. _________________ An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

There are many things that Broman should answer for or about, such as why would he approve a check written July 18, 2006 paying $22, 843 in sick time buy-out to an ex-chief that had been off sick from the end of Feb 2006 until that date in July and drawing a full check each pay day. Also approved paying an attorney city funds to represent the indicted ex-chief. That was really watching the citizens money. Broman also told an officer that supported the A G investigation that the officer was on the wrong side. Broman's version of good government doesn't mean what most think.

Received broman's flyer in the mail today and as usual, in my opinion, it is full of distortions and mis-statements. He cites that the city has "lost" : The Petty's 'Victory Junction', which is a non- profit enterprise that was not looking here to begin with and went on donated land in Western KCK. Lost the Tower. He was not supporting it and never did one thing to promote it being built. He actually helped to drag feet on the project. He had every opportunity to make motions to go forward with the project, but didn't. His flyer says that there has not been an active casino recruitment. Must have had his head in the sand to miss what the city did to promote the Golden Gaming proposal. He boasts of his ability to deliver as many police and fireman as possible. He doesn't say that what he did deliver were uncertified and untrained officers including an uncertified (full time) chief or how his "delivery" resulted in a $200,000+ deficit in the budget. Nor did he say in the flyer that even after being given evidence of corruption, he chose to back the ones that were indicted and told the honest officers that they were on the wrong side. Many other things can be said, but as far as a qualified or quality candidate, you ain't it Blowman.

Dang, you beat me to it, Piute! I got the same thing in the mail. Thought it was hilarious. You know what else I noticed? This is minor, but in his mailer he's wearing that same dang sweater that he wore for his article in the Chieftan, which is the same dang sweater he wore during the candidate forum! Does this guy ever change his clothing? _________________ Some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Not to mention, he doesn't use correct grammar!!! This part drove me nuts!!! "I'm John Broman, candidate for City Council in Edwardsville. I'm running because I believe our city can be more that it is at present. That it can do better." That last sentence isn't a complete sentence. That just annoyed me!

One more thing, and then I swear I'll get back to work, lilmama... Did anybody else get the Chuck Adams mailer? Did you think it was slamming Eickhoff or Broman? I couldn't quite make sense of who he was referring to. _________________ Some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

I read Adams flyer and it did send a mixed signal on who he was talking about. He supports Mctaggert and Bishop, and Spangler wants Broman in there so bad. I found it interesting he wants people to call him to discuss the issues that he was talking about, like he thinks he knows so much.

Is Broman moving? I noticed the house that I thought he lived in had "for sale" signs up not long after losing in the election. _________________ Some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.
